Fall Term Schedule

Group classes are now full for fall (2016). Check the Slipper Camp post for fall and winter dates. There were four group class series in each term – they ran Monday afternoons, Wednesday mornings, Thursday late afternoon and Friday mornings.

N.B. WINTER 2017 Group Classes will be posted by mid November.

1) Slipper Camp

It is important to understand that Slipper Camps are for maintenance and intended for students who are familiar with my pedagogy and approach to the voice. I am not really ’teaching’ during them nor focussing on individual student’s needs. To attend Slipper Camp you need to have had at least one private lesson with me. It is better if you have had more or if you have, or are, attending Group Classes around the same time. If you have questions about whether or not you should come talk to me!

I sell the Slipper Camps in packs of 5 for $12 per class ($60). I would like students to come once or even twice a week. Please aim to use 5 classes in 5 – 8  weeks time. IT IS FREQUENCY THAT MAKES SLIPPER CAMPS WORK. This is something I am trying to encourage through the price and flexibility. You do not need to sign up… just show up!

2) Group Class

In small groups we will explore our voices more deeply through healthy catharsis and get into the nitty gritty of the technique that I use in Slipper Camp. We get to look at prejudices we hold around voice and discover the true feel and sound of each person’s instrument. Please sign up for only one of the series so that everyone gets a chance at Group Class – if there is additional space you may do a second class. Let us know if this is what you would like. Groups are typically 6 – 7 students.

I offer a series of 5 classes – but only have you pay for 4. That way you can miss a class penalty free and if you do take the 5th class you can pay me at that time.

*Please email with your first and second choice for classes, as well as indicating which Group Class you would like as a second class if this becomes available.

3) Privates

One on one attention for one hour. The price is $100. Duos and trios are also possible as well, time and price will be adjusted (75 minutes/ $125)
Please contact me directly to schedule a date and time.

4) Song Study

Song study is for a group ranging in size from 6 – 12 students. It is a choir-like context in which I go into technical and dramaturgical detail as we learn songs I have chosen. We typically learn a verse and chorus for two songs in each session. We begin by warming up together.

5) Repertoire

This is a group class series in which participants explore two to three songs of their choice. We warm up together and then delve into 3 or 4 songs each session. Typically 6 participants.
