The opera, inspired by the narrative theme of the Minoan myth of “Daedalus”, portrays a chain of symbolic events, which describes a narrative path that begins with the escape from the contemporary labyrinth of dogma (through the violation of the human body and its limits). This path of symbolic events becomes concrete in the hyper-individualistic path tracked by “Daedalus/Cyborg” (through the fusion of two natures: biological and technological) and ends in the future labyrinth. A network of infinite repetition of known experience represents this labyrinth, where humanity will collectively transcend its nature by renouncing to its physicality and becoming pure information or gnosis.

The opera seeks to express these concepts through an innovative libretto a daring staging and with the use of those cutting-edge technologies, compositional techniques, and vocal interpretations that today signal the advent of the “Cyborg era”. The opera sees on stage 5 singers, one actor, four dancers and electronic music on tape or live.
